For those who love their chicken, you can't go past Boy & Bird in Ponsonby. This restaurant has created a chook-centric menu using local, free range chickens. Chicken-flavoured popcorn, stuffed brioche rolls, and the hot bird salad (with black beans, kumara, feta, peanuts and sultanas—yum!) are our go-to Boy & Bird orders. Best enjoyed with a side of chunkies and aioli, and finished with a berry yoghurt panna cotta.
