Okay, so we might be a little salty about everyone getting a long weekend except us but we've really turned up the social agenda this weekend in Brisbane. We’re talking everything from cat petting sessions to a MAMMOTH food trail to a cheeky Sunday sesh with your favourite fur-babies. It's all happening!

All you have to do is gather the squad and figure out which events to put on your weekend hit list (correct answer: all of them). Check out these 11 awesome things to do this weekend in Brisbane.

Thursday 15th June

Kedi Special Opening Night Cat Screening

What could get better than a special screening of a movie about the stray cats of Istanbul? Why more cats (of course!), which is why the team over at the Lucky Cat Cafe are bringing their squad of fur-babies to the event for a night of petting you’ll never forget. Cat themed stalls will also be popping up a-plenty as part of the pre-screening festivities, selling a variety of feline-themed goods like jewellery, greeting cards, mugs, socks and much more. Kedi, the film at the centre of this celebration of all things cat, is about the hundreds of thousands of cats roaming Istanbul and the impact they have on the non-fur lives they come into contact with. Sounds like pawsitive purrfection to us!

When: Thursday 15th June, 6:30pm–8:00pm
Where: New Farm Six Cinemas

Appleton Estate Pop-Up At The Cooly Hotel

For the month of June, Appleton Estate is taking over the bar at Coolangatta Hotel and the Jamaican vibes are coming in strong guys. The cocktail of the month is the Jamaican Stormy, which is their own take on a classic Dark and Stormy cocktail (our fave!). Head down every Thursday or Friday, from 6pm for delicious cocktails.

When: Every Thursday & Friday until 9th July.
