What a week Brisbane! We had rain and shine, horses and champagne, and now it’s time to top off a thrilling week with a cracker of a weekend! Chill out at food markets, take a road trip or party with the best of them; it’s a melting pot of goodness for everyone! Here are just some of the awesome things happening in Brisbane this weekend.

Thursday 3rd November

Barbara’s Birthday

Brisbane's bar crush, Barbara is turning 1! Barbara knows how to party, so naturally for her birthday she will be getting her groove on all weekend kicking off Thursday with live music from Emerson Snowe and Reud Mood. Make your Thursday night an ultra cool one and check it out.

Noosa International Film Festival

Beach-lovers have we found a film festival for you! Noosa International Film Festival is Australia’s newest film festival and is set to be an awesome one. Presenting some of the best shorts and new release films in Australia, prepare for NIFF to entertain, inspire and educate you with the festival connecting strongly to the Ecoflicks of the Noosa Integrated Catchment Association. Live it up with a morning at the beach and the rest of the day with great films—it’s a sure fire winner!

Friday 4th November

Recreate Twilight Market + Paper Fashion Show

The Recreate Twilight Markets are talking reduce, renew, recycle this national recycling week by putting on Brisbane's biggest twilight markets! With some of Brisbane’s best up and coming designers creating clothes made from recycled paper and cardboard, this will be more ‘paper couture’ than paper bag. Market stalls, a whole host of Brisbane's best food trucks and art and crafts will make it one fabulous night in the city.

Lone Pine Farmers Market

Everybody’s favourite koala sanctuary is also home to lovely Friday afternoon vibes courtesy of the Lone Pine Farmers Market. Pick up some fresh, local fruit and vegies, then chill out with that long-awaited Friday afternoon drink by the river. We can’t think of anything better than that.

Hotelling By Bleached Arts

Art and holidaying are being combined this weekend in an all-in crazy experience at QT on the Gold Coast. From the doorman, to the concierge, the couple in the room next door, nothing will be quite as normal as usual. Film, music, art and performance will pop up unexpectedly in any nook, cranny and person you can find so prepare to be surprised by the kooky curation of the award-winning David Pledger and Bleached Arts. Hotelling will probably be the artiest and coolest hotel stay you will ever have.

Saturday 5th November

Finders Keepers Market

One of Brisbane’s favourite weekend markets is on again this weekend and set to be a gooden! Cool designers, delicious food and some gorgeous handmade goods, the Finders Keepers Markets is delightful to say the least. It is on both Saturday and Sunday and did we mention that there is and ice cream sandwich stall? You know where we’ll be.

The End of the Line Festival

We all love a good block party and Woolloongabba’s End of the Line Festival is one of the best events on the Brisbane social calendar. Food trucks, artists, restaurants, markets and activity workshops come out in force to showcase all that the area has to offer, partying on late into the night.

If this isn’t a good excuse to get out of town for a night then we don’t know what is!

Originals Music Festival

The line-up for Originals Music Festival is sure to make any music-lover giddy, with two days of killer up and coming artists. The likes of Sahara Beck, Thundamentals, The Belligerents, The Living End and Remi (just to name a few) will set up stage right next to gorgeous Coolum Beach. The FOMO is kicking in already.
