Look Mum… No Hands!
Comedy meets music in this hilarious performance from Indel-ABILITY ARTS. Four local Brisbane artists, all who identify as having a disability have co-written and will perform the interactive show ‘Look Mum… No Hands!’ for one night at Redland Performing Arts Centre and then for a four day season at the Brisbane Powerhouse. They’ll tell heart-warming stories about the struggles and successes of living and working with a disability in a cracking good show for all!
Alliance Francaise Classic Film Festival
Brisbane’s famous film festival is mixing things up this year, showcasing blonde beauties of classic French cinema. There is no denying that hand-picked favourites featuring Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, Jean Seberg, Romy Schneider and Simone Signoret give iconic French film that certain je ne sais quoi. Opening night starts with ‘Lovers Like Us’—perfect for a ladies night!

Horror Movie Campout
From chainsaw-wielding madmen to machete-swinging clowns, you could say that the Horror Movie Campout is a film festival with a definite twist. This fully immersive festival experience aims to pretty much scare the shit out of its eager punters while they enjoy the thrills of horror movies galore with the company of severed limbs. How grand! The organisers warn you to take a spare pair of undies with you, so we’ll let you figure out if this one is right for you or not…
The Wellness Festival
With the sold-out success of its Melbourne debut, The Wellness Festival is a jam-packed feel good day out, heading north on tour to Brisbane. Hooray! Leading female entrepreneurs and health experts are set to show you the ropes in all things health, business and personal growth to get you filled to the brim with inspiration and knowledge. A lunchtime sweat sesh will get your heart racing, and a nourishing feed will keep you going all day to kick start your best self into action.

Brisbane Festival is finally here! It’s time to feast all of your senses on the massive program they have ready for the next three weeks. From every singing, dancing show you can find, to the fabulous food, to the epic Sunsuper Riverfire finale, this year is going to be HUGE. Catch work from big names such as Pharell Williams (Pharell, guys!) in Rules of the Game and Hugh Sheridan in California Crooners Club while La Boite runs you through a bloody reimagining of Snow White. Just try and squeeze in everything into your September, we dare you!

Walk For Awareness is a fantastic 8 km walk around the winding Brisbane river in support of those in the community who suffer from mental illness and to help fund programs pushing to make a difference. In a collaboration bursting with talent, energy and all round good food, Swig and Nibble is a food lover’s event not to be missed. This exclusive dining experience brings together the fine dining skills of Michelin trained chef Kevin of Bali’s Cuca restaurant and the passion of Sam Coverdale as the winemaker and owner of Polperro in Red Hill.
