Brisbane Queer Film Festival

The Brisbane Queer Film Festival is back for its nineteenth year at New Farm cinemas. Running for two full weekends, the festival will be following the theme ‘we’re all the same in the dark’, all of the films chosen with a sense of community and collective experience in mind. Brewsvegas

Speaking of iconic Brisbane festivals, Brewsvegas is back for their fifth year in a row to celebrate our fair city’s undying love for a cold brewski. There will be plenty of events worth frothing over this time around, from movie marathons to cheese degustations, all with a focus on the beauty of local beer. Another event for the beer lovers of Bris is Yoga on Tap. Yep, after feeling the health and mental benefits of yoga, you may now follow that up with a couple of schooners at the bar with your brand-new yogi pals. Archers Dog Day Afternoon

Yes, yes, I know we've mentioned Brewsvegas already, but there are a few choice events you really ought not to miss—and Archers Brewing's Dog Day is one of them! This Saturday, the crew at Archers and the International Hotel are closing off their car park for a day-long session of craft beer admiration. The best bit (other than the beer, of course)? You can bring your four-legged bestie! As well as tipples for us humans, there will be dog-friendly beer—Woof Beer—being served for all those thirspy pups, plus a hydro bath if your pooch requires a bit of pampering.
