BRISBANE FASHION MONTH MINI FILM FESTIVAL

Brisbane Fashion Month is a brand new initiative from designer and businesswoman Carly Vidal-Wallace that will delight all those fashion-focused and creative. This weekend they will be screening a curated selection of films from the fashion world over at the Griffith University Cinemas.

BRISBABES 1ST BIRTHDAY

Brisbabes have been showcasing women in the Brisbane music scene for a whole year with the belief that you can be talented even without the XY chromosome (shocker). They’re celebrating with a night of wonderful tunes and fun at The Foundry, all genders welcome.

VOICES OF COLOUR

Voices of Colour is an event that welcome all people. Young people who identify as people of colour are invited to share their stories through the medium of open mic spoken word. Get in early to avoid disappointment, this is going to be a wonderful evening.

DAVID BOWIE: NOTHING HAS CHANGED

This Saturday, join hundreds of others in the celebration of musical legend David Bowie’s life with Australian music icons and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. The show will feature a number of Bowie’s greatest songs backed by the full symphony orchestra and featuring Australia’s own legendary singer-songwriters.

This weekend, the Caxton Street Festival hits Brisbane and brings with it a number of our music faves: Last Dinosaurs, Stonefield, Cub Sport and many more. You can also expect a tonne of delicious eats with gourmet streetfood, seafood, and pop-up bars.

WALK FOR AWARENESS

The Official Walk for Mental Health Weeks ‘Walk For Awareness’ welcomes everybody (and their pets!) to come walk with the community and break the silence on mental illness.
