Spoiler alert: Santa is nearly here! The World's Greatest Experiment

CBD Christmas Parade

Christmas Lights Tour

Gather up your pals and the family and take a drive to check out some of Brisbane's finest Christmas light displays. If you’d rather let someone else do all the driving, Brisbane City Council will host bus tours throughout the city, with Kangaroo Bus Lines running their 4KQ Christmas Lights Tour for all you north siders. 

When: Any night before Christmas, or tours run 16th December–23rd December

Woodford Folk Festival

Get ready to tick something off your cultural calendar, because it’s nearly time for Woodford Folk Music Festival! Pack up the tent for a fun camping holiday in the beautiful leafy Woodford, where entertainment will be brought to you by over 2000 performers and 438 events, including things like dances, concerts, street theatre, an environmental programme, parades, it goes on and on!

World Series Swims

If you’re a bit of a fish in water, you have to check out World Series Swims this summer! With a whole host of ocean swim competitions happening up and down the QLD coast—from Coolangatta, Mooloolaba, even Noosa!—you can enter races for the total novice, to the seasoned swimming pro. So head on down to any one of these splendid locations for a mini vacay, some swimming, or even to just sit back and enjoy the summer sun while cheering on your mates.
