Brisbane we've got our eye on you this weekend; there are so many awesome things to do can someone please make it Friday 5pm already?

Thursday 10th March

Luminaries, Bleach* Festival

As part of Bleach*Festival 2016, internationally acclaimed projection artist Craig Walsh will illuminate iconic parks and landscapes across the Gold Coast. The festival itself runs until March 20th and is well worth the drive to the GC!

Friday 11th March

International Women’s Day Lunch

Celebrate International Women’s Day and the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across our nation over a gourmet three-course lunch. If you’re really lucky you might walk away with a brand new VW Polo. Yep, we’re not kidding, it’s up for grabs in the raffle!

Mind, Body, Spirit Fest

Can you believe we are a quarter of the way through 2016 already? This weekend’s Mind, Body, Spirit Festival is the perfect opportunity to reassess your new year’s resolutions, work on techniques to de-stress and try new products for your physical and mental wellbeing. Check out over 200 exhibitors at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre all weekend.

Burger Urge Block Party

To celebrate the opening of their Skygate DFO store, Burger Urge is throwing a Block Party this Friday from 12-2pm. With live music, giveaways and free burgers, we know where we will be heading for lunch! Did we mention free burgers?

Broncos vs Warriors

Our favourite NRL team is back at Suncorp Stadium for their first game of the season on home soil. Get decked out in your maroon and hit Caxton St before heading to see the mighty Broncos take on the Warriors.

Brewsvegas

Now in its third year, Brewsvegas is one of Australia’s best grassroots beer festivals. Kicking off this Friday 11 and running through to Sunday 20th of March, the festival gives local venues and breweries a chance to showcase their best.

Saturday 12th March

Butter Factory Markets

This Saturday the Kingston Butter Factory, one of Brisbane’s historic locations, will play host to The Butter Factory Markets. From 9am-3pm you’ll be able to soak up the live entertainment, peruse some of Brisbane’s best handmade market stalls and gorge yourself on goodies from the food trucks.

Street Science!

This weekend, Street Science! is bringing two jam-packed, extravaganza filled days of science-y fun to Brisbane. From drones to coding workshops to science-adventure storytelling there’s something for the inner geek in all of us! The best bit? All this fun is completely free!

When: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March 10am-4pm

ROC Race

No doubt you’ve seen Wipeout on TV and shouted at the contestants about how you could do a much better job. Well, now is your chance to show us what you’re made of. This 5km course featuring larger than life inflatable obstacles will seriously test you. Not up for the challenge? Sit back and laugh at those who get knocked down by ROC’s very own #wreckingball!

Hand Crafted at the Woolly Mammoth

The Woolly Mammoth are kicking of this year’s Brewsvegas with a huge afternoon of live hip-hop, R&B acts and DJ’s as well as launching their newest brews! Graffiti artists are going to painting the walls plus the craft bar is turning into a gourmet market for one day only; sounds like an all round entertaining afternoon to us!

Guest Chef Cooking Class 

Want to brush up on your skills in the kitchen? Get some IRL cooking tips from one of Australia's top chefs, Richard Ousby, who'll be taking over the kitchens at Spicers Tamarind Retreat for one day only! Hone your skills while you whip up a hearty feast, then enjoy your spoils with your fellow kitchen pals and a glass (or two) of vino. Heaven.

Bikes ‘N’ Brews

As part of this year’s Brewsvegas celebrations, Fringe Bar has your Sunday morning covered. Dust off your bike and pull on that lycra for the tour de booze around Brisbane city.

Bryan Adams: A Day on the Green

Sirromet Winery has been bringing the goods over the last few Sundays and this Sunday is no exception. Bryan Adam’s is returning to A Day on the Green stage for the first time in 11 years on his Get Up Tour and will be bringing all his classics! No need to be a closet Bryan Adams fan any more, we’ll be there belting out his hits alongside you!

Blade Runner at GOMA

GOMA Cinemtheque will be screening Ridley Scott’s classic, Blade Runner; The Final Cut this Sunday afternoon. Come and watch Harrison Ford as he finds his way in the hi-tech world of 2019; apparently a lot of things are going to change in the next 3 years!
