On the hunt for the best breakfast in Brisbane and not sure where to start? We've got your back. We've come up with our list of the best new breakfasts in town, and some old favourites that we think it's time to revisit. These are the best cafes in Brisbane doing breakfasts you'll want to get up early for.

Chur Burger | Fortitude Valley

Chur Burger might have already won a few hearts with their lunch-and-dinner burger menu, but their breakfast offering is equally drool-worthy. Open for breakfast seven days a week, our picks of Chur's brekky menu include their savoury French toast BLT, spiced-beef chimichangas with avo' and lime sour cream, and the Chur Breakfast Burger. How's this? Chur also serve breakfast beers (legends!), as well as Veuve, and Bloody Marys. If you're a pussy not so keen on getting day drunk, they also do a breakfast smoothie and milkshakes, including a Milo flavour.

Elixir | Stafford

Stafford's best-kept secret for breakfast is Elixir Coffee, and we think it's high time the cat was let out of the bag. With a brand new breakfast menu that includes health-conscious and some paleo-friendly dishes, as well as gourmet breakfast fare (our pick is the salmon, quinoa, and potato cake with avocado salsa), Elixir is a true Brisbane breakfast all-rounder. Throw their award-winning coffee into the mix (yep, they're that Elixir) and you've got a Brisbane breakfast joint worth shouting about. They're open Monday to Saturday from 7am.

Il Locale | Rosalie

This is breakfast, just like Nonna use to make. (Never had a Nonna? Us neither, but that doesn't stop us from digging what Il Locale are dishing up of a morning.) Their truffled eggs include shaved truffles, pecorino, asparagus, and white truffle oil, while the green eggs and ham is a delightful twist on your favourite scrambies, with crushed peas, grilled leg ham, and salted ricotta on toast. After something sweeter? The coconut and lime rice pudding with pistachio, dried cranberries, and vincotto is a winner. There's also a Bambini breakfast menu for the small fries, and the coffee's top notch. Il Locale is open for breakfast from 7:30am Friday to Sunday.

Artie & Mai | Albion

Brisbane breakfast spots don't come more adorable than Albion's Artie & Mai. The impossible-to-miss bright red building on Sandgate Road is home to breakfast favourites like sweet corn fritters with avocado puree, glazed ham and a poached egg, and French toast with prosciutto and goat cheese, finished with cinnamon honey. Artie & Mai are brewing Belaroma coffee, and have changing breakfast specials worth keeping an eye out for.

Raw Pawpaw | New Farm

Breakfast doesn't have to mean cheat meal (not that we're complaining when it does). At new Brisbane café Raw Pawpaw, the breakfast delights are both delish and good for you, too. Vegan French toast, chocolate protein pancakes with gelato, Acai bowls, and iced mochas made on Luz almond milk are just the tip of the iceberg.

Ben's Burgers | Fortitude Valley

Yeah, yeah, we don't shut up about Ben's. But the creations coming out of this new Brisbane burger shop are a joy to behold, and their breakfast menu is nothing short of spectacular. Ben's have nailed the simple, dirty burger thing. Their breakfast burger line up includes eggs and bacon and sausage versions that are the answer to your hungover prayers. But the real 'King' of their breakfast menu is the Elvis, with bacon peanut butter, maple syrup, and banana. They'll even toast you up a brioche and top it with your choice of spread if it tickles your fancy. They've also got coffee, OJ, green smoothies, yada yada. Get down there.

Vintage Kitchen Vintage Closet | Cooparoo

Cooparoo's Vintage Kitchen Vintage Closet is a cosy and cute Brisbane café and clothes store, with an equally adorbs breakfast menu. Classics like savoury mince on toast, toasted banana bread with maple syrup and ice cream, and a pancake stack that would soften even the grumpiest mood, round out the menu. Bonus, they serve breakfast until 2pm.
