Weekends are made for relaxing—we get it, truly, we do! While the appeal of icy air-con and uninterrupted Netflix binges sound like the perfect antidote to your week-long work fest, we promise that there are seven delicious dining establishments out there enticing you with their weekend ready nosh.

So, here they are, folks: the seven Brisbane cafes and restaurants you need to check out this weekend.

Reload Espresso

Reload Espresso in Salisbury is the definition of a hidden gem. Housed in a former munition factory, and covered in trellised passionfruit vines, Reload is the perfect spot for weekend brunches, breakfasts and weekend caffeination. Order the dukkah eggs, and keep an eye out for the daily specials.

Cush Sudanese

Cush Sudanese Restaurant in Moorooka is the first stop for Brisbanites looking to sample delicious African (Sudanese, in particular) cuisine. Hidden away down the stairs of an arcade, it's worth the effort hunting this place down. The menu is full of must-tries but, if we had to pick a hero dish we'd say go the Sudanese-style fish or Zighni—a super spicy Sudanese curry.

Kith N Chow

Mt Gravatt

This place is weekend breakfast goals, for sure. You’ve probably seen them popping in your feed with their epic breakfast boards. Order the Kith N Chow platter for two—sourdough, bacon, pan seared tomatoes, grilled halloumi, avocado, smoked salmon, fried eggs, Greek yogurt, granola—and get ready to enter a food coma, because breakfast doesn’t get any better than this.

The Smug Fig

The Smug Fig sits inside adorable inner-city nursery, The Cottage Garden, which means you can dine amongst some pretty stunning plant specimens. Check their social media before you pop down to see if they have their Malteaser French toast special running, because it’s going to change your life.

The Tiller Coffee

Nestled neatly underneath the old Alderley chimney stack is a shipping container and a small patio set up for The Tiller Coffee. Perfect for a morning chill out, study group or just a catch-up, the folks at Tiller look after you with darn good coffee and a simple but delicious menu (say yes to the bagels!). Your four-legged friends are welcome too—bonus!

Lennons At NEXT Hotel

Spruik your weekend dining experience by heading to the CBD, and hold up forte at Lennons Restaurant inside NEXT Hotel. With a decadent menu and an incredibly seductive wine list, what better way to while away your afternoon than by stuffing your face dressed in your fanciest clothes?

Fuel & CO.

No matter where you are in Brisbane, Fuel & CO. is a goodun. You can’t go wrong with their ace fresh salads or their huge and heavenly fruit hotcakes so, northsiders get into it and everyone else, make tracks this weekend?

Here's even more Brisbane dining spots for your feasting pleasure!
