Things to do Brisbane

With summer well and truly upon us, what better time to throw on a little athleisure wear and get out and about in this beautiful country of ours! Brisbane is surrounded by some of the finest countryside Australia has to offer, so it would be incredibly unpatriotic of us not to check out Brisbane's best hikes, walks, and trails at least once this summer.

Here are 8 awesome outdoor adventures to take around Brisbane this summer!

#1 Currumbin Alley

The Gold Coast is the perfect short trip to take on a summer’s day; throw in a spot of stand up paddleboarding and you’ve got sun, sand and a solid ab workout.

#2 Mt Warning

Around 30 minutes from Byron Bay, Mt Warning is a lush rainforest setting and a serious hike all rolled into one. The 360 degree coastal views at the summit make the effort more than worthwhile.

#3 Tangalooma

Tangalooma requires a little boat trip which means you already feel like you’re on holiday from real life. Did we mention there’s also snorkelling and seafood aplenty?

#4 Cedar Creek Falls

Samford Valley's Cedar Creek Falls is a gem of a swim spot, great for sunbaking on the rocks and cooling off in super fresh water and bonus; it’s a shorter drive than hitting the coast.

#5 Mount Tamborine

Mount Tambourine is super beautiful all on its own, but we actually recommend the 1.5 hour drive to get there because of Witches Chase Cheese. Taste testing all of their delights is an adventure we’re pretty keen on.

#6 Cabarita Beach

This beach beauty has become to south coast hotspot thanks to luxe boutique hotel Halcyon House. Venture to their restaurant Paper Daisy for divine cocktails by the white sands of Cabarita Beach.

#7 Maleny and Montville

Make an epic Sunshine Coast hinterland venture to the cute-as-a-button Maleny and Montville. Think antiques, bookstores, delicious food, lots of charm and lots of psychics, tarot and crystals ready to predict your future…

#8 Girraween National Park

An iconic Queensland landscape, Girraween National Park is filled with huge boulders and hiking tracks aplenty. It’s also pretty close to the vineyards of Stanthorpe’s wine country.
