If you’ve ever wondered what some of Brisbane’s most beautiful old homes look like on the inside, wonder no longer because the annual architectural snoop-fest, Brisbane Open House 2015 is almost here!
That’s right, Brisbane’s annual festival of architecture and design Open House is headed our way bringing with it the chance to freely snoop inside Brisbane’s most loved and admired buildings for as long as you want.
Brisbane Open House 2015 sees over 100 of Brisbane’s most beautiful buildings open their doors to the general public on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of October.
Visitors will be given the chance to explore a veritable smorgasbord of some of the city’s alluring abodes including historic homesteads – such as the grand Customs House, the much-loved Princess Theatre and the ornate Newstead House – along with some cutting edge new architecture including the schmick ABC Headquarters at South Bank and the incredible Translational Research Institute at the PA Hospital.
But the fun doesn’t stop with the snooping. There are also heaps of events and talks on offer for all the design buffs out there.
While most of the properties are open for self-guided tours, some of them are ticketed, so make sure you secure your tickets via the Brisbane Open House website stat!
