Brisbane is simply bursting at the seams with creativity. Small independant workshops are popping up in every nook, share space and spacious warehouse, and this means only one thing; it's time to roll up our sleeves and get crafty.

Not scrapbook crafty (though if that's your sweet spot, good for you), we're talking calligraphy classes, paint and sip evenings, pottery masterclasses and tea workshops! We here at The Urban List love a good art attack, so we have compiled a list of the top six arts and craft classes you have to check out in Brisbane.

Mas & Miek Ceramics

Housed in a gorgeous light and airy warehouse in Newstead lies the pottery and ceramic studio you never knew you wanted to be a part of. The Ceramic House is here to get your hands dirty. Make your own ceramics to take home with you in their fully equipped studio. If you aren’t keen to get muddy just yet you can always stop by for a coffee at their espresso bar and watch one of the open classes take place to see if it’s for you.

Only T

Only T are all about the ‘tees’, more specifically giving you the tools to make them yourself. By tees we are referring to the big three of course: tee shirts, tee bags, and tee pots (duh!). During their classes, you print your own shirt, get your own hand-crafted bag, and make your own concrete planter pot, perfect for all those succulents you have been collecting! Their ‘tee parties’ run every Friday and Sunday, make sure you book a place because spots are limited.

The Soul Pantry

Speaking of succulents, if you’re all about that plant life The Soul Pantry have the workshops for you. This gorgeous shop sells next level greenery, including beautiful flower arrangements and impressive terrariums. Pop in to one of their workshops to learn anything and everything you could ever want to learn about how to style, grow, and nourish the most fashionable plants in Brisbane, as well as crafting your own plant accessories like pots and terrariums along the way.

Brush & Barrel Sip ‘n Paint Studio

If you haven’t already guessed from their name, Brush & Barrel is one of those magical places where you can create art and drink wine in a step-by-step painting workshop. Yep, just BYO your fave bottle of vino and get painting, because arts and crafts is just that extra bit more fun when accompanied with a good glass of red.

Reverse Garbage

Save your recycling and put it to good use! Reverse Garbage is a not-for-profit co-op that promotes sustainability by turning trash into treasure. They turn your average junk into unique works of art, and run a series of workshops so that you can too. Be part of a good cause while getting crafty by booking into one of their classes today.
