South Brisbane, home to some of our favourite cafes, restaurants, and bars, has a cool new neighbour in Betty's Espresso, opening last week in Browning Street, just off the main Boundary Road strip.
Betty's has a retro, hipster vibe, and welcoming feel, serving up a cool cut of cold drinks including peanut butter, rose, and salted-caramel-flavoured milkshakes, and, wait for it, spiders (no way!), as well as a very '90s, chicka-cherry-cola. Posters line the walls and our inner-seven-year-old couldn't wait to sit down to the array of old-school board games available to punters for their playing pleasure.
They also do coffee, tea, sandwiches, bagels (!), and an array of impressive-looking sweet treats, there is something to satisfy everyone at this cute little West End locale.
Betty's caters to the lactose-averse, with vegan drink options available. We are hanging out to go back and try their delish' looking cupcakes. With its friendly vibe, and great coffee, we predict Betty's is gearing up to be a local favourite and is sure to fit in with the locals.
