Well, who knew there were so many Paleo enthusiasts in Brisbane?
Our recent story on the upcoming Primal Pantry café in Newstead, was so popular it nearly crashed our website, and, since then, we have been bombarded with questions about the opening of this healthy foodie's haven.
So, I feel confident in saying that there will be more than a few squeals of delight in Brisbane today, as we reveal that Primal Pantry opened its doors for the very first time, this morning!
That's right, folks, we are so pleased to welcome Primal Pantry, the 100% Paleo grocer and cafe, to the neighbourhood (it's just around the corner from The Urban List office—on the corner of Florence and Macquarie Streets in Newstead—which we are pretty chuffed about). We can't wait to try everything on the amazing menu!
Speaking of the menu, we thought our Paleo-loving Urban List fans would appreciate being the first to get a sneak peak of the Primal Pantry menu. Let me tell you, it looks pretty sensational. Right off the bat, I've got my eye on the breakfast options. My picks? Pulled pork on sweet potato hash with spinach and eggs, or the cinnamon pancakes with grilled figs with pistachio crumb and maple. YES. Heading over for lunch? The crispy chicken with Asian slaw and fresh herbs, or the shaved Brussels sprouts and endive salad with walnuts, pear, and bacon are on my list.
You can also get your hands on a delicious smoothie, if that's more your speed. We love the sound of the Hulk smoothie (pear, spinach, mango, lime, coconut and ice) and the Coffee Frappe (espresso, coconut milk, ice, dates, vanilla). There are five to choose from though, so take your pick! Don't want coconut milk? Swap it for almond. Easy.
And, just because we love you, we've even included the real live Primal Pantry menu, below! Get ready to salivate.
Anyway, don't take my word for it. Primal Pantry is open. Right now! Today!
