It’s that time of year again: the sun is shining, the cold is gone (sort of) and the flowers are blooming. It’s spring, baby! To celebrate the return of the sunshine and balmy afternoons, we’ve put together this list of Brisbane’s coolest rooftop bars. Cheers!
While not technically a ‘roof top’, Sazerac in Brisbane CBD does sit 30 floors above the street so it’s certainly tall enough to be classed as a rooftop bar if we’re judging on height. Given the bar’s namesake is indeed Sazerac we recommend ordering one because they do them damn well. There’s also a salted caramel martini with your name written all over it and an array of delicious share plate options.
Blink and you’ll miss the entrance to Eleven Rooftop Bar in Fortitude Valley, but you really don’t want to miss this one. Situated amongst the Valley skyline, Eleven has quite the view. Luxe day beds, private booths and earthy tones make Eleven feel mega luxe. We recommend getting here to watch the sunset and partying into the night. Dress up though, these guys have a pretty strict dress code.
Elixir is an oasis of sorts located smack bang in the middle of Fortitude Valley. With hanging gardens, ferns, fairy lights and water features galore you’ll feel like you’re in Bali, not the Valley. Espresso martinis, ploughman’s boards and lots of Veuve make Elixir pretty hard to beat.
Fitz + Pots
Suburban spot Fitz + Pots calls Nundah home, but you’d forgiven for thinking you were right in the midst of the CBD. With a seriously epic collection of jaffles on the menu, eclectic furnishings and great vibes all round we’re kind of obsessed with this place. You win this round Northside.
Soleil Pool Bar
Soleil Pool Bar in South Brisbane screams summer nights out, and we love that. The huge pool, day beds, deck chairs and out there bartenders make for a fun spring/summer night out, complete with obligatory dip in the pool.
We bet you didn’t even know Lennon’s Bar existed. Hidden in the Queen Street Mall skyline, this Brisbane bar screams fun. Pool-side lounges—yeah, they have a pool—, espresso martinis and an epic view of Queen Street make for the perfect afternoon of drinking. You’ll feel so cool when you realise most people haven’t heard of the bar you’re at, too.
Fancy another round? Check out our picks of Brisbane's coolest new cocktails. Cheers to that!
