Brisbane’s Newest Dining Precinct Just Went NEXT LEVEL!

Honestly Brisbane, you need to take a breath. It’s been a busy week in our sub-tropical paradise; from Aperol Spritz Ice Pops (I know, right?) to a giant slip n slide coming our way, it’s like everyone just can’t get enough of Brisbane’s goodies. And it’s only February!

The week is not even out, and guess what? We’ve got even more huge news. HUGE we tell you! Brisbane’s newest foodie precinct, King Street in Bowen Hills has just announced that iconic, award-winning restaurant group, Rockpool Dining Group will be moving in. Holy shit!

Joining some fave Brisbane restaurants like Fat Dumpling, Il Verde, Hello Chicken, Sushi & Nori and The Lamb Shop—we’re dizzy just thinking of the feasting possibilities!—Rockpool and Urban Craft Brewing Co. have teamed up, set to revitalise the Royal Snack Bar in the heart of the precinct.

The Royal Snack Bar is undergoing a huge makeover, and will reside in one of the original, and much loved Ekka buildings incorporating much of the original building’s foundations and restored pavilion materials taken from the heritage showgrounds. Neat, huh?

The project is still pretty under wraps right now, but given that these guys are the very team that brought us Fratelli Famous, Sake, Burger Project, and that lesser known restaurant institution known as Rockpool (ahem), you can bet your bottom dollar this is going to be one of the most exciting foodie projects launching this year.

Set to open in time for this year’s Ekka, keep your eyes peeled on site for more info and the official launch date.

Brisbane, you’ve seriously lifted this week, and we couldn’t love you more if we tried!
