The Teneriffe Festival is on again tomorrow, and we can't wait! The annual event is a celebration of Teneriffe's history, excellent producers and businesses, and the vibrant community that inhabits the area.
We can't think of a better way to spend a winter Saturday in Brisbane, than wandering the streets of this inner-city mecca, eating delicious food, listening to music, and browsing the huge variety of street markets that are on offer.
And, because we know you love a list, we've put together our picks from the Festival lineup—just for you!
One of our favourite Teneriffe businesses, Claret House, is getting in amongst it at the Festival this year. Hosting a street bar, a Brazilian BBQ (called, to our delight, Brazilyum) and a party on their own deck, Claret House are going all out, and we can't wait to chow down with them.
Alfred & Constance Pork, Fork, and Cork Laneway Bar
Guaranteed to be one of the most happening spots at the Festival, the Pork, Fork, and Cork bar is a must visit. Featuring food and drinks from A&C, Alfredo's, Chester St Kitchen, and Limes, we know where we'll be tomorrow.
For the first time ever, the Teneriffe Festival will be home to an authentic farmers' market! We'll be spending some serious time here, stocking up on meats, fresh, local fruit and veg, and other goodies.
If you have kids, you will know that sooner or later they'll tire of being dragged around to market stalls and bars. And it'll be no picnic for you, either. The Kids World area at this year's Festival will be your saving grace, as it's filled with activities kids will love. Think petting zoo, piglet races (squeeeeel!), and more fairy floss than can possibly be eaten in a day (although, we are willing to put that statement to the test).
In need of some musical inspiration? There are a heap of great local bands playing at the Festival this year, across four stages. Whatever your taste, it'll be music to your ears.
