The Good Oil

Yesterday was apparently the coldest day we've had so far this year and if you are anything like me, I bet you've been standing under the blowdryer for just a little bit longer than necessary in the mornings in an attempt to defrost. Throw in some bucketing rain (sans umbrella) and this deadly combination spells hairstyle suicide.

The answer? Hair oil.

No, it won't result in a style rivalling the T Birds in Grease. Hair oil is experiencing a resurgence due to it's frizz fighting and deep conditioning ability. Use it as you would a deep conditioning treatment, or as a styling product to the mids and ends for hair as bouncy and bountiful as a clairol ad.

Here are our three favourites:

Moroccan Oil is made from Argan oil and they've recently released a lighter version if you've got fine hair. Go for the original stuff if your hair is on the coarser side.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Versatile Beautifying Oil is just delish. My hairdresser used this one on me after I'd bleached my hair for the umpteenth time and you could barely tell it was processed to within an inch of it's life...

Kiehl's Suburbly Restorative Argan Dry Oil - well, with a name like that it has to be good… Not only can you use this oil on crispy hair, but on your face, skin and everything in between. It's a dry oil, so doesn't have a super greasy feel.
