Because wine, and also because any new opening in Brisbane that combines our two passions in life—great wine and incredible food—deserves to be shared, digested, and celebrated.
In news that has literally sent TUL HQ into excitable tizzy, the crew behind the ridiculously successful Chinese eatery-come-boutique wine bar, Happy Boy have just launched a brand new venue; welcome Greenglass.
Hidden up a secret staircase next door to The Grosvenor—stay with us now—, Greenglass is a complete departure from Happy Boy’s Chinese cuisine. Greenglass will serve a small but punchy, elegant French menu—think roasted chicken and buttery mashed potato, salmon confit, and steak with frites—paired with some of Australia’s best small production wines, hand-picked by the brains behind Spokenwine (responsible for those delish drops at Happy Boy, FYI).
Kicking things off with a soft launch this week, Greenglass will be serving up breakfast from 7am-2pm, dishing up classic egg dishes, house made pastries and fresh coffee, courtesy of Supreme.
Greenglass’ lunch and dinner menu is set to rollout late November, and if Happy Boy’s rep is anything to go by, tables will fill up thick and fast.
In short, if you like wine (even if you don’t, frankly you soon will) and you’re after a classy alternative to fast food, Greenglass will feel like a literal breath of fresh air.
