Netflix Streaming Is About To Take Off On All Domestic Qantas Flights

Qantas announced today that all domestic flights within Australia will be equipped with Netflix, Foxtel and Spotify as part of its in-flight entertainment offerings from mid-this year FOR FREE. Holy fook.

Passengers will be able to select from a library of thousands of TV shows and movies (like we need to tell you that, you’re probably watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend right now) from heights of 35,000 feet and at speeds of up to ten times faster than regular ol’ in-flight entertainment.

While you usually have to fork out the cash dolla for Foxtel, Netflix and Spotify, all three services will offer free access to Qantas customers each time they fly (you’re bloody right they will, customers aren’t paying $350 for a 45-minute flight to Tasmania just to use the toot). Foxtel will offer three days free access per customer per flight, whereas Netflix and Spotify will offer a 30 day free trial for new customers, which is very cheeky because that’s what on-land customers get anyway.

Welcome to the future.
