Pick of the Precinct | Latrobe Terrace

Ah, Latrobe Terrace... Land of the tricky park, large hills and many a stroller. Once a burgeoning strip boasting an eclectic mix of retailers and hidey-hole cafes, this Paddington landmark has fallen to the wayside a little in the last few years.

Thankfully, a series of chic homewares haunts and fabulous new foodie favourites are refreshing the well-trod Latrobe Terrace strip, injecting it with some much needed new blood.

The Urban List team took a tour of the terrace last week to indulge in a spot of window shopping. Full of new spots to try, with a few old faves thrown in for good measure, here are our picks of the precinct!

1. The Hamptons
Whilst no longer the new kid on the block, The Hamptons is still worth the pit stop. Enjoy breakfast or lunch on the back verandah of this Paddington gem.

2. A.P. Design House
Clean, sparse and a little Scandinavian, you will find many a treasure for yourself and your home amongst the loot at A.P. Design House. Always an avid collector of stationary, whether necessary or not, we spied an enviable collection of quirky leather bound notebooks!

3. Monty's Chocolate
An oldie but a goodie, they take their sweets pretty seriously. Worth a visit even if you aren't a chocolate connoisseur. Their salty caramel balls and dark-chocolate-coated cacao beans are a must try.
Where: 155 Latrobe Tce in Paddington

4. Happiness Place
The newly opened Happiness Place is a kaleidescope of colour and beautiful things. We may have been slightly mesmerised by a myriad of cute-as-a-button throw pillows.
