We asked, and boy did you answer! We were flooded with your picks for Brisbane’s best Indian offering. Luckily, we’re pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to our curry calibre here in Brisbane; we’ve got numerous naans, stack loads of shawarma, depths of dahl and, it seems, all the best Indian food.
But, who won? Well folks, you let us in on thousands of your fave curry spots and we’ve compiled the top 10 winners. It was no mean feat sorting through your entries, but here they are; your picks of the best Indian food in Brisbane:
You guys went crazy for The Spice Avenue in Birkdale. As the name suggests, Spice Avenue is a spice-filled taste journey. With a full bar, dine in and take away plus frozen taken home meals, Spice Avenue seems like a one-stop shop for all your Indian fare. Yum!
Jaipur Palace in Wellington Point is the Indian you guys keep raving about! With a menu to keep everyone happy (hello bulk vego options!) and local Indian bevvys, we’re loving this place too. Plus, their tandoori is epic.
Punjab Curry Club
Are you a member of the curry club? Judging by your votes we’re guessing yes! Given that there’s a fresh, tasty and very full buffet offering here at the Punjab Curry Club, you know we’re on board. The madras curry is said to be pretty amazeballs too, FYI.
Curryville scored oodles and oodles of your votes. Check out their Chicken Hai-Hai curry that comes with a safety kit, coz that sh*t is spicy AF. They also do a tasty selection of other less hot curries and Indian fare. Plus their amazing mushrooms are delicious (not what you think, we swear!)
A Night In India
A Night In India has quite the rep amongst Brisbanites for Indian nibbles. Their spinach pakoras and onion bhaji are on our ‘must-order’ list every time, plus their chicken tikka is seriously good.
Somewhat of a Brisbane institution, Punjabi Palace in South Brisbane has been serving up delish Indian fare to the mouths of Brisbane for as long as we can remember. Their tandoori chicken wings are some of our fave wings in Brisbane and the Alu Bonda (deep fried mashed potatoes with home made cheese and herbs, crumbed and deep fried – yes please) is just amazing. Seriously.
Eden Garden in Yeronga has authentic, fresh and delicious Punjabi food. Plus, they’re cricket obsessed. There’s a bowl of questions with cricket trivia at the counter that can score you 10% off if you get the answer right. Cross your fingers and think of Shane Warne guys.
Vindaloo Blue in Calamvale are killing it. You guys love them, and we rate them too. Their epic selection of naan and pakoras will win you over before you even try their super tasty mains. Peanut butter lovers you’re going to want to try the Nisha.
Taj Mahal in New Farm lay claim to the fact that their restaurant has hosted the Indian cricket team since 2004, so that means it’s gotta be pretty damn authentic. Their chana masala is said to be amazing.
Little Indian Palace
The Little Indian Palace in Cleveland promises a hot curry, so if you ain’t about the spice life maybe stick to a lassi. With super bright interiors, friendly staff and an epic menu, we totally get why you guys love this place.
