Soul Clap vs. Wolf + Lamb Laneway Party | Music On A Monday

By Adam Gerrard
16th Dec 2013

Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb are both DJ/Production duos from the East Coast of the US. They've been at the forefront of the house and disco music game for a couple of years now, and the forming of their new label Crew Love seems like it will only continue their ubiquity.

The DJ Kicks compilation they teamed up on to release back in 2011 was scene-defining for the deep house movement, which is now really starting to blow up into a worldwide phenomenon, with tracks like Storm Queen's 'Look Right Through' and Ben Pearce's 'What I Might Do' topping the charts in the UK.

Soul Clap were last here in February for the Laneway Festival after party at the now defunct Sky Bar, which was one of the most incredible nights I've ever had at a club. This time they'll be playing at an equally unique location in the laneway next to Laruche, known as Bakery Lane.

The promoters, Auditree, and hosts, Laruche, promise to make an experience out of the gig too, with "summer cocktails, lounge areas, art, food and fashion" all on offer.

After you've relaxed all day in the summer sun, this will be the perfect way to make the most of the balmy summer nights and warm up for New Year's a little early.

What: Soul Clap vs Wolf + Lamb Laneway Party
When: Saturday December 28th
Where: Bakery Lane (next to Laruche and Bowery Bar), Fortitude Valley
Tickets: $27.50 from Pulse Radio

Adam divides his time working for Captured Tracks (an indie record label in NYC), managing a couple of bands in Australia, and helping foster the Brisbane live music scene.
