Summer’s Best Dress Up Party Is Back

Forget fairy bread, Cheezels and ice cream cakes. The best dress up parties in Australia revolve around costumes, cricket and bevs. So slip on your morph suit, slop on your sunscreen (aka layers of coloured zinc) and slap on your ridiculously wide-brimmed hat, because our favourite day of sport is back.

Kicking off in Sydney on December 4th, the Victoria Bitter One Day International (aka ODI) Series is a total ripper of a sporting event, created for the not-so-serious sports spectator. Basically, it’s just a good excuse to sit in the sun all day (lucky you brought that zinc), and enjoy some drinks with your mates in your matching kick-ass costumes. Remember who your friends are (that would be us) because whoever is crowned best dressed over the summer scores a round the world ticket for two— we’re serious, this is the actual the prize! Even if you don't win, you and a mate could get a seat upgrade (or bevvie voucher), so make sure you get on the socials and 'gram your outfit in all its glory.

Our Aussie boys will be up against New Zealand in December, and Pakistan in January, so you’d be straight up silly to miss out on your chance to catch some world-class cricket action and more importantly, all of the bants. Plus, those attending the matches at the MCG & SCG in New Year will be treated to Field of Flavours, a mini food festival with tasty treats from all over the world.
