It’s fair to say that anything secret round these parts don’t stay secret for very long, and in the case of this piece of news it’s imperative information—for your street cred and your social life.
In mind-blowing news, iconic Brisbane bar The Gresham is set to transform their private lounge room into gorgeous hidden bar-within-a-bar, The Drawing Room.
Ever since a recent trip to the US and subsequent team-up with NYC’s Dead Rabbit for their Aussie pop-up earlier this year, owner Ryan Lane had dreams of transforming the space within The Gresham, wanting to create an intimate ‘hidden’ bar, away from the buzz of front of house.
So, what’s all the fuss? For one, The Drawing Room will really milk the ‘secret’ element (and for good reason): prospective patrons will have to ring a bell to gain access, and names on the waitlist will be mandatory.
Then once inside, patrons will be treated to an exclusive ten cocktail menu courtesy of the one-man bar, and will be served via table service. Talk about exclusivity! With only 24 seats, The Drawing Room is the perfect hidden bar to get away from the crowds, and has classy AF vibes aplenty.
Set to open early August, The Drawing Room will no doubt be the bar to see and be seen at. That’s if you can get in, of course…
Keep your eyes peeled on The Directory for a launch date!
