The Best Events To Hit Up In Brisbane This Month

Welcome to winter, Brisbane; July's set to be a cracker with more things to do than you can shake your beanies at. From winter wonderlands to (even more) all-you-can-eat chicken-nugget nights, a tonne of live music and one infamous Block Party coming back for round two, we are full to the brim with epic events this July.

Here are the best things to do in Brisbane this chilly July.

White Winter Wonderland

While Brisbane isn't partial to snow, we can expect an abundance coming our way. From 29 June to 8 July, White Winter is a fabulous winter wonderland being brought to life! For both fashionistas and families, prepare to while away time at the gorgeous Chandon Bar, ride the Winter Carousel, dance along to wintery tunes and be enticed by delicious warming treats. The festivities are the perfect way to spend these chilly Queensland nights—especially with a glass of bubbly in hand!

Le Festival

Australia's biggest French Festival, ‘Le Festival’ is back for a huge 2018. Get up close and personal with iconic French foods, wine and entertainment, with over 70 stalls, live performances and masterclasses briniging you the best France has to offer. The French are known for their cheese (not a secret) and we are known for our love of cheese so put your hands together and grab a tasting plate and pair it with a glass or three of great plonk.

James Street Food & Wine Trail

Back for its SEVENTH year, the iconic James Street Food & Wine Trail is one of our all time fave Brisbane events! This two-day feasting fest will once again showcase the very best of James Street's impeccable culinary scene, with a nuber of very special appearancrs from interstate. From cooking classes, to bespoke dinners, and the famous Market Day, this is one Brisbane event not to miss!

Dinner And Cinema Nights

The most lavish movie date around, treat your family or friends to only the best at Vintaged Bar + Grill. At $49 a pop, enjoy a two-course dinner followed by a film of your choice at Elizabeth Picture Theatre. And—cough—we even heard you'll receive complimentary valet parking at the Hilton. Swoon!

Jetset Fridays | France Edition

Pilot into the weekend with Jetset Fridays, hosted by our faves at Blackbird Bar & Grill. With a new monthly destination, France is the latest drool-worthy stop! With DJs, French cocktails and bubbly, plus ALL the Hor d’oeuvres, you could be forgiven for thinking you're in Paris… almost.

The Nugg Club

Live your best life this July, Brisbane. For just $20 dolleridoos stock up on those beloved golden bites alongside unlimited fries and slaw (drooooool). And don't let us forget all the sauces. From tomato, sweet and sour, tangy barbecue, Korean chilli and lemonade, nori and miso plus blue cheese sour cream, this is what true dreams are made of.

The Sound Society South Bank

Don your best dancing shoes and prepare yourselves for The Sound Society; Brisbane's newest, free live music program. Held in two of Brisbane's extraordinary parklands, celebrate by catching up with friends while catching some epic live beats from some of the best local talent. Of course you can't have a music arvo withou food trucks, so grab a bite from one of the plethora of trucks parked on the day, and keep your eyes peeled for the music lineup in the meantime. We can't think of a better way to spend our afternoons!

Teneriffe Festival

Celebrating the vibrant community that makes up this leafy river suburb, the annual Teneriffe Festival is one giant street party! Bringing together the best brewers, restaurants, pop-up bars and ALL of the laneway and street markets, Teneriffe closes off Vernon Terrace and Ethel St, and basically goes off for one day of epic eats, beats and bevvies.

Green Beacon Block Party

After the last success the now annual Green Beacon Block Party will be taking over Helen Street for another massive event! Think all of the live music, food trucks, bars (filled to the brim with the best selection), that graced us the last time… but, bigger and better! Mr Burger and King of the Wings are the main spectacles of the street eat scene, in addition to limited edition menus at the event. Stay tuned for who's in store to perform!
