The Modern Guide To Heroism And Sidekickery

Experience the real-world problems of a super hero with the brand new one woman show, The Modern Guide to Heroism and Sidekickery. Find out the answers to life’s great questions, like how do super heroes pay the bills? And where do they put their phone and wallet in those ridiculously impractical costumes? This raucous comedy will be on for this weekend only, so make sure you don’t miss out on the world premiere of this hilarious show.

Thursday 30th November

Plonk & Produce

Did someone say free samples? Pantry 360 are holding their very first Plonk & Produce evening this Thursday, and there will be samples galore. Taste the best in mouth-watering Aussie produce from the likes of Allamburra Organics, Byron Bay Peanut Butter, and Bunya Cheese just to name a few. If free cheese alone is not enough for you, there will also be a wine tasting experience showcasing quality drops to excite your palette.

Twilight Wedding Showcase At Spicers Clovelly Estate

A Grinch’s Christmas

Join all your fellow scrooges of Brisbane and celebrate your mutual distaste for everything holly and jolly at the Christmas, Curves, and Claws burlesque evening. There will be comedy gold, aerial acrobatics, and plenty more Grinch approved fun.

Mao’s Last Dancer Exhibition

Experience the incredible life of Li Cunxin through this captivating exhibition. Li Cunxin was born into poverty in Communist China, entered into Madame Mao’s Beijing Dance Academy at the age of 11, and became one of China’s, America’s, and now Australia’s most celebrated dancers. Witness his life journey through never-before-seen interviews, personal artefacts, and performance footage.

J. Cole | 4 Your Eyez Only

Spend your Saturday listening to rap icon J. Cole and his platinum record, 4 Your Eyez Only. As the first ever rapper to sign with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Label, J. Dirty Dancing + The Princess Bride 30th Anniversary Screenings

In 1987, two iconic movies made the big screen. What better way to celebrate than with a classic movie marathon? Get festive for the Stones Corner Christmas Twilight Market happening this Sunday evening. Nothing says Christmas quite like masses of people carolling. Drop by North Lakes Town Common this Sunday evening and sing along to all of your fave festive tunes. You have to check out this amazing new physical performance at QPAC. Humans explores everything that makes us who we are. The show will be performed by ten acrobats from the award-winning circus ensemble Circa, who will push their physical limits to explore exactly what humanity is in a totally physical sense. The piece is emotionally charged, and there is something magical about their performance. You do not want to miss out on this one!
