As predicted, our post-cyber weekend frenzie slash impending December panic threw us in a total shopping blackout. We spent our life savings on sale items we really didn't need (but of course, just could NOT resist), and already regret the natty socks you bought for your bro... Let's face it, we knew this was coming and we only have ourselves to blame.
But to cheer us all up (read: distract us while our mountain of parcels are in transit), we've sourced five of the best events in Brisbane hapening this week. Because even the best of bargain hunters sometimes need a little pick me up. Here are five awesoem things to do in Brisbane this week.
Tuesday 5th December
Santa's Secret Letter Service
We're mind-blown right now, guys. Seriously, we are still pondering as to whether our yearly Chrissy letters actually reached the North Pole. Of course the team at Robinson Road Marketplace have made our doubts that little bit less, offering a Secret Letter Service right in the heart of Brisbane! Write a special letter to Santa this Chrissy, post it in Santa’s Mailbox and Santa will write back to you for free. Simple as that. For more info, click here.
Wednesday 6th December
Beer And Cider Degustation
Sorry, but who doesn't love a cheeky degustation—especially when it's with two of our favourite tipples? Created by the team at Bitter Suite, a specially crafted menu will be paired with matching ciders and beers on the night, and it's really going to spice up our Wednesday evening. Do your tastebuds a favour and head on down (prepare for mass food/cider baby, however)—it is the season to eat, drink and be merry after all. For more info, click here.
Thursday 7th December
Mao's Last Dancer Exhibition
In an intimate portrayal of the incredible contemporary Australian icon, be inspired by one man's journey through bitter poverty to international stardom. In this exclusive Museum Of Brisbane exhibition, prepare to witness never-before-seen interviews, performance footage and personal artefacts of Li Cunxin. An incredibly moving story that you really cannot miss! For more info, click here.
