Guys, where did October go?! While we were busy lounging in the spring sunshine devouring ALL of the ice cream, the month completely slipped by. But don’t fret, just because November is here doesn’t mean Brisbane is slowing down any time soon. This week in Brisbane we’ve got everything from a spoopy AF Halloween escape room to an essential oils masterclass plus a networking group for female entrepreneurs.
Piqued your interest? Here are five awesome things to do this week in Brisbane.
Tuesday 31st October 31
Halloween Escape Room
The spoopiest night of the year, Halloween is no time to be cuddling up at home with Netflix and pizza. That’s why UniLodge South Bank has created the event of the year with a brand new Halloween themed Escape Room, popping up for one night only. Players will be dropped into the area and forced to navigate 25 creepy rooms as they find the clues they need to survive the witching hour. But be careful, things that go bump in the night will be lurking around every corner. Do you want to know the best part? It’ll all only cost you a measly five dollaroos. Score! Pop-Up Entrepreneur Series At iLab
Brisbane movers and shakers, this one’s for you. Presented in collaboration with the University of Queensland’s iLab, Advance Queensland’s Pop-up Entrepreneur series aims to connect local Brisbaneites with entrepreneurs from the area willing to talk candidly about what it takes to do their job. The aim is to delve beyond the typical PR profile and get honest about the realities of the entrepreneur lifestyle. The two entrepreneurs appearing at this Pop-Up Entrepreneur meeting are being kept strictly under wraps, so you’ll just have to head along if you’re interested. The event will be taking place at 315 Brunswick St. For more details, click here.
Wednesday 1st November
Find Your Five At The League Of Extraordinary Women
As a wise man once said: you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Find Your Five, presented by the League of Extraordinary Women, is a networking event unlike any other. Aimed at connecting female entrepreneurs with other female entrepreneurs, Find Your Five places you into a once-off, curated group of six. In your group, you’ll discuss a given topic, with everyone allocated a chance to speak. After your time is up, you can choose to rematch with the people you just talked to or join another group. It’s kind of like Bumble in real life for finding like-minded entrepreneurial friends. What could possibly go wrong? Find Your Five will take place at River City Labs Accelerator at Level 3, 315 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley. For the full run-down, click here.
Friday 3rd November

Hosted at The Collective Store, Christmas in Wynnum will bring together the crème de la crème of the local small business community for an evening of celebration, exclusive deals and killer prizes. The goodies on offer will include everything from handmade fashion to homewares to original art, perfect for finding that unique present for your special someone.
