It’s been nearly a year since the world lost Leonard Cohen, a man who is often touted as one of the greatest poets who ever lived, but the Queensland Poetry Festival is keeping his spirit alive and well with this killer tribute. Musicians headlining the night’s performances include Ben Salter, McKisko and The Architects of Sound, while the poet collection on offer boasts such names as Ian McBryde and, our very own local legend, Sam Wagan Watson. Oh and did we mention the tribute is taking place on the festival’s opening night, so you bet they’re going to pull out all the stops. Uh, yes please!

Be still our Totoro-loving hearts.
