Love food? (That’s not even a question, right?) In that case, get those tastebuds at the ready, because this weekend is alllll about the good stuff as Brisbane's fave annual food and wine festival, Regional Flavours, hits South Bank.
This two-day foodie feast will showcase the absolute best produce Queensland has to offer: from more than 80 stalls brimming with gourmet fare—think farm-fresh veggies and vibrant herbs, artisan chocolate, wine and pasta (the holy trinity), freshly pressed olive oils, and luscious jams and chutneys packed with locally grown fruits.
In between perusing all the stalls (and, let's be real, stuffing your face) there’s some legit amazing demos, workshops and entertainment to catch too: from celeb chefs, industry experts and local foodie heavyweights. Masterchef trio Matt, George and Gary are all set to make an appearance, as is dessert aficionado Darren Purchese, plus Masterchef and MKR alums Poh Ling Yeow and Luke Hines. To top it off, Ben Williamson of Gerard’s and Will Cowper of Otto are also set to join in on the action! You’ve vastly improved your culinary skills just by reading this—can you even imagine being there IRL??
take your pick of samples galore, grab-and-go eats, a gorgeous pop-up picnic, the iconic Sweet Escape dessert zone, or why not settle in at The Hunting Club pop-up bar and bistro to get your fill of meats and malts until late.
Add in live music and the picturesque riverside setting of South Bank and you’ve got yourself one hell of a hedonistic weekend of sensory pleasure. Entry is free so you can cruise in and out, but honestly, why wouldn’t you just stay all weekend?
When: 15-16 July, 10am-5pm
