Australian Short Film Festival, Flickerfest, returns to the Judith Wright Centre this weekend. Lighting up the big screen once again, Flickerfest showcases the best shorts from Australia and around the world. This highly acclaimed Short Film Festival, is one entertaining, bite sized cinema fests not to be missed. Plus air-con and choc tops, need we say more?

Friday 12th Feb

Bananarma | The Tivoli

Bananarama, hailing from UK, were a pop sensation from the 80’s like no other. Taking the world by storm with songs like Cruel Summer and Venus, Bananarama still hold the record for the worlds most successful girl band! With over 30 UK Top 40 hits and 40 million record sales, Bananarama are back in Brisbane after 30 years. So froof your hair, don some blue eye shadow and bust out a wild print to take yourself back to the 80’s for one night only!

Brisbane Roar vs Newcastle Jets

Our favourite A league soccer team is back on home soil this Friday night, taking on Newcastle Jets. Currently sitting 2nd on the ladder, a win for the Roar could take them into first position, so get down to Suncorp Stadium and scream for your team!

Saturday 13th Feb

Brisbane Coot-tha Burn

If you’re a fan of lycra and love feeling the burn, Saturday’s Coot-tha Burn is perfect for you! Test your legs on the mountain with a crowd like the Tour cheering you on in the 2km time trial. Not interested in racing? Check out The Village, where all your favourite food trucks will keep you full and live entertainment will keep you happy!

NRL All Stars

We’ve been itching to get back to Suncorp for some NRL action ever since last year's nail biting grandfinal.  It might not be time for our beloved Broncos to take to the field just yet, but Harvery Norman have brought us the next best thing; the best Indigenous players in rugby league will take on the NRL All Stars this Saturday night.

Boy & Bear
