This weekend is going to be ah-ma-zing, so prepare yourselves, ‘cause we’ve got a killer lineup of things to do in Brisbane this weekend. From Friday night foodie events, and warehouse sales, to Sunday afternoon pool parties, fashion markets, and beer fests, this will be a weekend you won’t forget (or won’t be able to remember—depends how you roll).
Motown Thursdays | Super Whatnot
Thursday night is Motown night! A Love Supreme and Super Whatnot have joined forces to bring to Brisbane a night of legit’ Motown tunes, with food and drink specials all night. Motown lovers, eat your heart out!
Hops ‘n’ Dogs | Archive Beer Boutique
Americans don’t do things by halves: They like their food big and their beers bigger. So this Thursday from 11am, grab yourself a schooner, a gourmet hot dog (or two), and flick over to the Gridiron for the ultimate all American chill sesh, Hops ‘n’ Dogs at Archive.
Friday Night Snack-down! | Wandering Cooks
Brisbane foodies, you’re in for a real treat! Wandering Cooks are kicking of their Friday night Snackdown event this week, with Ben Devlin orchestrating food battles every Friday night from 4pm til late. Snackers exchange money for tokens, and vote for their favourites, which will ‘play on’ for another week. The first street food battle is between the glorious cusines of Japan and Holland.
Park The Truck | Roma Street Parklands
The inaugural Park the Truck event at Roma Street Parkland will celebrate everything that’s good about Brisbane food trucks. The best part about this event? It’s King of The Wings first birthday (yay—we love those guys!). So come on down to Roma Street Parklands this Friday night from 5:30pm and join in the fun. This is one evening of mobile food that you won’t want to miss.
Talulah Warehouse Sale | Cloudland
Here at TUL, we love a good warehouse sale. So when we heard Talulah was holding a warehouse sale right here in Brisbane (like, 5 mins from our office), we couldn’t contain our excitement. With up to 80% off last season pieces, you’d be mad to pass on this spending frenzy.
The Lovers Collective | Judith Wright Centre
TLC (no, not the band!) is a beautifully curated colab between some of Brisbane’s biggest names in the creative wedding industry. This Saturday kicks off a series of workshops, with the first workshop to be held at the Judith Wright Centre. So if you’re looking for a bit of inspiration, or need some serious help, grab your tickets, pronto!
Cups For A Cause | Atticus Finch
Atticus Finch Café loves art, coffee, and helping out those less fortunate. So this Saturday they’re auctioning off one-off re-usable Uppercups painted by local artists for charity. Show your support for this great cause, and score yourself a unique reusable coffee cup (because who doesn’t drink coffee on the run, ammiright?).
Tiki Party | Soleil Pool Bar
Sunday afternoon pool parties have definitely become a must do for Brisbane’s social scene, and Soleil Pool Bar have pretty much got the whole Hamptons-rooftop-pool-party thing completely mastered. This Sunday, Capri Sunday’s is excited to host their first Tiki Party, complete with tiki inspired cocktails and punch bowls, live music, and Brisbane’s coolest people. What more could you want from a Sunday afternoon?
Boudoir Bazaar Fashion Market | The Hamilton Hotel
Ever wondered what Brisbane fashionistas do with all their culled wardrobe items? Well come on down to the Hamilton Hotel and find out! This Sunday from 11am til 3pm, rummage through hundreds of designer, vintage and quality pre-loved ladies garments, shoes, handbags, hats, sunglasses, jewellery and more!
A Love Supreme Album Launch Party | Winn Lane, Fortitude Valley
January saw the opening of A Love Supreme, a humble little record store tucked away in Fortitude Valley’s Winn Lane – and now it’s time to welcome them to the neighbourhood, officially. A Love Supreme is excited to bring to Brisbane muso enthusiasts an evening of some of the deepest, rarest and most infectious dance goodness. A Brisbane party not to be missed. Beer vs Whisky vs Food | Newstead Brewing Co.
For our pals at Newstead Brewing Co, beer is life. So needless to say when we heard they were joining forces with South Trade Whisky, we got a little thirsty. Round up the crew for what is set to be a fantastic night of beer, whisky, and food enlightenment.
