If you thought last weekend was a busy one, buckle up, Brisbane! Aside from the epic launch and weeklong Brewsvegas event, we’ve got a jam-packed itinerary of things to do in Brisbane this weekend. From black tie charity events, and food truck festivals, to open air cinemas, and a whole lot o’ beer with Brewsvegas hitting town, don’t even think about staying home this weekend.

Thursday 19th

Kerrie Hess Illustration Exhibition | REDSEA Gallery

All you fashion-savvy Brisbane dwellers, this event is for you! REDSEA Gallery is proud to present Kerrie Hess.A renowned fashion illustrator, Kerry’s iconic work has been used in collaborations with fashion giants such as Vogue, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Harper’s Bazaar, just to name a few. The exhibition will run until 5th April, with the official launch on Saturday. A can’t-miss it event for Brisbane fashion fans.

Brewsvegas Launch Party | Wandering Cooks

Prepare yourselves, Brisbane, Brewsvegas kicks off this Saturday! Join the Wandering Cooks for a cracking night celebrating Brisbane's amazing beer scene with a host of local beers, food trucks and great tunes. Be there!

Create Your Own Personalised Lindt Bunny | Toowong Village

Easter is just around the corner, so to get you in the spirit, Coles at Toowong Village will be holding a Lindt Chocolate ‘My Gold Bunny’ pop-up store. Endless Summer ‘Black Tie’ Ball | Hillstone, St Lucia

The Endless Summer Ball is an annual charity event raising awareness for an emerging charity in need of a helping hand, and this year ESB is supporting Hughie, a charity working to find a cure for Alpers Syndrome. So come and join in the fun, and show your support for charity.

Frozen Beer & Cider Launch | Newstead Brewing Co.

While we’re on the topic of beer, Frozen Beer Co. is launching Frozen Beer and Frozen Cider in Brisbane this Sunday! What’s a frozen beer? It’s simply beer served with frozen beer foam on top—it's frosty, smooth and darn delicious. Hoo Ha Bar Beerkary | Hoo Ha Bar

Downey Park Food Truck Festival | Downey Park

Here at TUL, we go a little cray over Brisbane’s food truck scene (can you blame us?). So when we heard about Downey Park’s food truck festival coming back this weekend, well…we just had to tell you about it! From 4pm this Sunday, indulge in the street food goodness from ChipTease, Chocolate Komberry Co, Pizzaantica, Little Black, and Vira Lata (just to name a few). Seriously, you’ll be sorry if you miss this.

Open Air Cinema | Canvas Cocktail and Wine Bar 

The ultimate Brisbane date night, watch a cult classic film under the stars in Canvas’s courtyard while enjoying some craft beer, pizza and popcorn (erm, yes!). Tickets are $60 per couple, and bookings are essential.

Monday 23rd

Newstead Brewing Co & The Charming Squire Collab | The Charming Squire

In an Australian first, James Squire and Newstead Brewing Co have joined forces to brew a special one-off collaboration, mixed in the style of a Black and Tan. The beer will be launched on Monday March 23 and will be available at James Squire's Brisbane Brewhouse, The Charming Squire and Newstead Brewing throughout the week (or until it runs out!). Get your tickets, pronto!

Tuesday 24th

Beer Trivia! | Black Bear Lodge

From the first sip to the last drop, Black Bear’s Beer Trivia gives you the chance to pit yourself against fellow reps and brewers alike. This event is a part of Brisbane weeklong Brewsvegas event, so come along and join in the fun!

Nose To Tail Dinner | Kingsley’s

Kingsleys Brisbane & JBS meats are excited to bring you the first nose to tail dinner. Guest will learn about the different types of meat cuts and where they come from with a live butchery demonstration. And for $95 per person, you can indulge in canapés and a degustation dinner with matched wines. Bookings are essential.

Wednesday 25th

Chocolate Indulgence | Brisbane State Library

Chocolate lovers and bookworms, unite! This Wednesday, the State Library of Queensland is proud to host the launch of Josephine Moon’s latest book, The Chocolate Promise. The event will be fantastic evening of chocolate indulgence and bubbly! Brisbane-based Mayfield Chocolates will be providing complimentary chocolates on the night, and will have a pop-up stall for attendees to purchase more delicious choccies to take home (erm, yes!).

The Nikon-Walkley Press Photography Exhibition Launch | Brisbane Powerhouse

Friday 27th

Test Your Tastebuds: Guess the Meat’ | Pig 'N' Whistle

Pig ‘N’ Whistle, Fortitude Valley, has teamed up with Stone & Wood and Fortitude Brewing Co to put together a fun event called ‘Test Your Tastebuds: Guess the Meat’. From 6pm, the team will pull together a six-course degustation dinner, with each of the courses including matched beers from Stone & Wood and Fortitude Brewing. A must-attend for all Brisbane foodies! 

Eats & Beats | IKEA Loganholme

Knock off on Friday 27 March and bring your friends, family and colleagues along to Eats & Beats and get ready for a night that will satisfy even the biggest foodie’s taste buds with a free street party on the IKEA Logan Forecourt. With King of The Wings, Sushi Neko, Little Black, and Pizzaantica all making an appearance (as well as all our other Brisbane food truck faves), this is one Brisbane foodie event you won’t want to miss.

Urban Decay Launch! | Mecca Maxima

Grand Ladies Luncheon | Regatta Hotel

On Friday 27th, The Regatta Hotel will be celebrating International Women's Day, as well as the 50th Anniversary of Merle Thornton's famous protest at the Regatta with a four course luncheon sponsored by Moet & Chandon. The event will feature an array of guest speakers including Tracey Spicer, Amanda Wilson, and Rosie Waterland, as well as a special appearance by Merle herself! This is set to be an unmissable event, with a portion of ticket proceeds going to the Sister2Sister program.
