Hot Brown Honey | Brisbane Festival
Wear some light clothing to this one, because it’s going to get steamy. With a sweet punch of hip hop politics, Hot Brown Honey takes racial and gender stereotypes and tears them right open through a provocative and sassy array of dance, poetry, comedy, circus, striptease and song. Described as “raunchy, intelligent and confrontational”, this performance tackles typecasts from the simmering shores of Polynesia to the bogan back streets of Australia. The honeys are hilarious, unforgiving and in your face as they undress the stickiest of topics in the most humorous of ways.
