We're bit miffed as to where exactly June has gone but we're pretty geard up for all the things to do this (first) weekend in JULY!

Word on the street says this weekend will manifest a feast for the ears, eyes and bellies of Brisbane: from new music, to street parties—even food trucks popping up. Press pause on that 25th episode of OITNB you watched in one whole day—it can wait till Monday.

Here are 10 totally awesome things to do this weekend in Brisbane.

Thursday 29th June

The Royal Ballet International Series

Time to channel your inner Olivia Newton-John, slip back into those 80s leotards and be inspired; the QPAC International Series’ Royal Ballet is back for the first time in 15 years! The dance creativity that is brought to the stage by Frederick Ashton and Kenneth MacMillan will be the very first performance outside of their headquarters, The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London. Be blown away by extraordinary pirouettes, twists and turns within their original routines, ‘Woolf Works’ and ‘The Winter’s Tale’. BRB while we tame our excitement.

They’re a fusion of plush, layered production and instrumental work whose smooth sounds will put you at ease after a long day.
