Two Minutes with Nora Chan

Student by day and style preacher by night, meet Nora Chan. Dark and mysterious meets uber cool and calm, Ms. Chan lives and breathes all things fashion. Busy studying business and creative industries at university, Nora is also the face behind fashion blog; Black Balloon. Spend two minutes with this super chic dreamer.... 

TUL: Describe in one sentence what you do for work? 
I am a university student currently studying a double degree in Business and Creative Industries at QUT, and an independent blogger on the side for my blog - Black Balloon.

TUL: What is the most exciting part of your job? 
The opportunity to attend various fashion orientated events hosted around Brisbane, as well as meetin a lot of interesting people; amazing PR people, fashion designers and other Brisbane bloggers. 

TUL: Describe your style. 
I dress to my mood, so it can be anything from indie, to casual, to girly; but I never leave the house without at least one item of black on me.

TUL: If you were an animal, what would you be? 
A zebra.

TUL: If you could have a super power what would it be? 
Teleportation – because I live quite far out from the city.

TUL: Must haves for the season? 
With the weather cooling down at the moment, I would say a boyfriend blazer and loafers.

TUL: The last thing you purchased?
My mustard loafers.

TUL: Best way to spend $50?
Dinner, drinks and friends.

TUL: And the best way to spend $500?
Invest in a designer item that you will get years of wear out of.

TUL: 3 musicians you have on high rotation?
The Wombats, Bon Iver, The Last Dinosaurs.

TUL: What was the last song you downloaded?
The Art of Sleeping – Empty Hands.

TUL: The best gift that you have ever received? 
Tickets to Bon Iver!

TUL: What would you request for your last meal on earth? 

TUL: What is your Sunday routine? 
I usually read some blogs in the morning, laze around and then go out to dinner with friends.

TUL: Favorite city… other than Brisbane? 
New York.

TUL: Places in Brisbane you couldn't live without? 
Max Brenner and GOMA.

TUL: Favorite Brisbane coffee place? 
I'm a chai and tea person but Brew, on Albert Street.

TUL: Favorite Brisbane restaurant? 
Wagaya in Fortitude Valley.

TUL: Shopping destination? 
Elizabeth Street, Adelaide Street and James Street.

TUL: Indulgence? 
Good food. 

TUL: Latest Brisbane discovery? 
Sunsets overlooking the Story Bridge and the city at Wilson's Lookout.
