What's On

This Week in Brisbane

By Kate McCart - 18 Jun 2012

What's on this week in Brisbane you say? Why not check out the Fête de la Musique, or take some skates for a spin around the ice rink in the city? If you're feeling charitable, you could always join FrockShop for the ever-so glamorous fundraising event at Lady Lamington? Does a Sunday roast at The Lark tickle your fancy?

Tuesday:

Elizabeth | Brisbane Powerhouse

Laugh along to Nobel Prize winner, Dario Fo's modern stage masterpiece drawing on all the energy, spirit and spontaneity of original 16th century commedia dell'arte. In equal parts a bawdy burlesque, a riotous nose-thumbing of authority and a surprisingly touching insight into the challenges of womanhood, Elizabeth is not to be missed.

Where: Elizabeth | Brisbane Powerhouse is at 119 Lamington Street in New Farm

When: Until 24th June

Tickets: $35 - $65 Cost: www.qpac.com.au

Thursday:

Runways for Refuge | Lady Lamington

Wet your whistle with Veuve Clicquot, graze on canapés and feast on spring summer styles this Thursday, while helping FrockShop and Good Sams Foundation stand up for violence against women. Help those less fortunate by joining Marie-Louse Theile and Ita Buttrose for an evening under the stars at Lady Lamington.
