Weekend, we meet again! And it's a long weekend (yay!). So if you're one of the lucky few who are staying to hang out in our beautiful city for the long weekend, you're in for a treat! Here's the lowdown of what's on this weekend in Brisbane. 

Thursday 17th

Run with the Rabbits | The Brunswick Social
This Easter weekend, the team at The Brunswick Social are hosting a three-day, long weekend event for all you fabulous Brisbanites to enjoy. Escape the ordinary with endless amounts of dumplings, cocktails and beats. This weekend-long event kicks off on Thursday 17th with the Easter Eve Party, with DJ's on rotation from 5pm 'til late all three nights. Easter Saturday is simply a 'make up for Friday being closed' party, and includes $1 dumplings (yes, I did say $1!) from 5pm–7:30. Be there!

Good Friday Eve Party | Chilliwow
On the eve of the most anticipated long weekend of the year, Chilliwow combines two of their favourite (and our favourite) things: Margarita Madness and Make Your Own Tacos and Nachos! Hungry yet? 

Because we know you'll knock off work early, join the team at Chilliwow from 4pm, grab yourself a Margarita from 5pm, and make your own tacos and nachos from 6pm! The crew have been busy crafting new beverages for the occasion (one drink in particular, entitled 'the hot cross bun" flavour mojito, caught our eye). There will even be chocolate egg shots! (Um, wow). So get the crew together and book your table now! Go go!

Murlocs' Loopholes Tour | Black Bear Lodge
Love the Murlocs? These five guys from Victoria's surf coast have their musical roots firmly placed in their own blown-out, distorted brand of soulful RnB. Their up-tempo snare cracks, noisy doom guitar and vocal screech has been praised by acclaimed international artists including The Black Angels, Gary Clarke Jr, and Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks.

Saturday 19th

Royal Visit By The Duke and Duchess | Southbank
Don't even try and deny it, we know how crazy you are about the Royals, and they are coming to Brisbane! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be paying a visit to Southbank, following a reception at the Brisbane Convention Centre, where the young Royals will make their way down Russell Street, where all you crazy Royal fans will have the chance to see them in the flesh. 

But don't fret, if battling crowds just to get Prince William to touch your hand isn't your idea of a good time, there will be a big screen in the Cultural Centre to ensure all spectators have prime viewing of Wills and Kate (oh and little George, too!).

Regional Produce Month | Stokehouse
Throughout the month of April, Stokehouse celebrating their local roots with specially designed menus from head chef Richard Ousby. Each week the menu will showcase a different region of Queensland, from Wide Bay and Bundaberg on Easter Sunday, to the Lockyer Valley on Easter Monday. Secure your table now; you won't want to miss this local feast!

Twin Peaks Art Music Night | Southside Tea Room
Twin Peaks fans, gather for an art and music show this Saturday in honour of the cult hit, Agent Cooper and his dreamy black coffee. Local artists from around Brisbane will be both contributing and selling their Twin Peaks inspired art at the show, accompanied by creep-tastic music throughout the night by Pale Earth and Foxy/Moron.

Sunday 20th

Streets Beach Surf Club Easter egg Hunt | Southbank
Head to Southbank on Easter Sunday with the little ones, where the kids will be treated to an Easter egg hunt, while the young at heart sit back and enjoy an afternoon of live music.

Time: All day! 

Tuesday 22nd

Two For One Tuesdays | Toro Bravo
Not quite ready to say goodbye to the long weekend? Well Toro Bravo have got you covered! For a limited time only, tuck into their superb aged steaks at any lunch sitting, and the team at Toro Bravo will throw in a bottle of 2012 Molino Loco Monastrell at no charge for every two diners. So make sure you grab your best gal pal or your favourite bro' and pay the Toro team a visit!
