40 Years 40 Paintings | Philip Bacon Galleries
To celebrate his iconic Brisbane gallery, and long career as an influential art dealer (you can read all about him here), Philip Bacon Galleries are showing 40 of Bacon's rare and important works, including pieces by Fred Williams, Jeffrey Smart, Margaret Olley, Rupert Bunny among others. A not to be missed exhibition.

2014 Battle Against Ovarian Cancer | Sandstorm Beach Club, Nathan

Beer and Cheese Evening | The Standard Market Co.
The cheese connoisseurs from our Gasworks fave, The Standard Market Co. are teaming up with our other Newmarket fave, Newstead Brewing Co. for a night of beer and cheese. Yes, we know, how delicious does that sound? They are teaming 5 boutique beers with 5 fantastic gourmet cheeses, and Michael Conrad (of Newstead Brewery fame) along with Michael Dean (from The Standard Market Co.) will both be on hand to explain the unique characteristics of each course, and why they work so well together.

The Elephant Relaunch | The Elephant (Formerly The Elephant and Wheelbarrow)
Formerly The Elephant and Wheelbarrow, this Fortitude Valley saloon has has a facelift, with a brand new design, new beer garden, new bar and deck upstairs, and an outdoor pizza kitchen and rotisserie.
