Eagle Farm Farewells 149 Year Old Track | Eagle Farm Racecourse
Eagle Farm will bid farewell to the 149-year-old Eagle Farm track at the final Saturday metropolitan race day before the major upgrade. With an action packed day of racing and family-friendly activities, it's set to be a day to remember. Patrons will also have the opportunity to walk the track after the final race, and score themselves a little piece of this historic racecourse.

BBQ Sunday's | Claret House Wine Bar
They say a Sunday well spent brings a week of content. And we believe this to be true. Claret House are hosting a Sunday BBQ every week, with signature dishes on offer like their braised beef brisket, pork ribs and barbecue sauce, and chilli garlic prawns, just to name a few. So get the crew together experience a laidback (and seriously delicious) Sunday BBQ.

Wild West End Party + Un-Official Launch of the BFF | Lock'n'Load
The Brisbane Fringe Festival is back, and this year the party is getting started at West End fave, Lock'n'load, with a rootin'-tootin' Wild West party, complete with live country music, raffles, and great food. It's also country dress-up, so dust off your spurs, kids.

Sake Tasting | Mizu
Who can say no to a mid-week sake sesh? Definitely not us! So when we heard our friends at Mizu were opening their doors for mid-week sake tasting, you can bet we got our palates primed! The event will feature three varieties of sake from the Shirataki Brewery, and three courses of delicious Japanese nibbles to accompany. Tickets are $15 per person, and will be snapped up quick!
The Big Hairy (or Not) Blokes Cooking Class | Mondo Organics
Chef Paul Horne, assisted by senior apprentice, John Trickey, presents a cooking class just for the boys. This blokes only affair will feature man-friendly dishes like the pumpkin soup, slow-roasted pork shoulder with perfect crackling, easy roasted winter rosemary veggies, delicious bread and butter pudding, and a lesson on grilling meats. So whether he's already a pro, or needs a little help in the cooking department, this event is one to share with your man friends. Tickets are $130 per person.
