On the hunt for things to do in Brisbane this weekend? For all the carb lovers out there we've got sourdough workshops, an epic food truck party, live music and haircuts, special events for Dad this Father's Day, and loads more. 

Here's what's on this weekend in Brisbane.

Friday the 5th

Food Van Jam | Westfield Chermside
When Brisbane's food trucks descend on one glorious patch of bitumen it's cause for serious celebration, and it's happening this Friday night at Westfield Chermside. In the Nando's car park you'll find a veritable fleet of your favourite mobile restaurants, including Pizzantica, King of The Wings, Local Mobile Deli, and Oi Taco. They're will be a DJ, licensed bar, big screen with the Broncos vs Storm game playing, an activity area for the little ones, and a Pet Peeps Treat Bar for your four legged family members. Sounds like a party! Find all the details here. Hot tip: Best car parking is on the rooftop near Goodlife Health Clubs or underground near valet — both are easily accessed through the Banfield Street access.

Scotch Sessions | Scotch & Soda
Tunes and fashion combine in a must-attend mash up at Scotch & Soda's Elizabeth Steet store this Friday. Brisbane band Sundown Jury will be busting out the beats for this installment of Scotch Sessions, with free drinks and great fashion all 'round.

When: 6:30pm

Saturday the 6th

A Doll's House | Roundhouse Theatre, Kelvin Grove
The famous psychological thriller comes to Brisbane for Brisbane Festival, in a superb new rendition by Lally Katz. Brilliantly plotted with unforgettable characters, it's no surprise this was recently named the world's most performed play. Click here to book.

Oz Comic-Con | Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
Not just for geeks, this year's Oz Comic-Con plays host to some famous faces from the worlds of fantasy and sci-fi, most notably Orlando Bloom aka Legolas, as well as special events happening all week long (check them out here).

When: 9am to 6pm, September 6th and 7th

Brisbane Festival | Everywhere
It's baaack. The much-loved Brisbane Festival is back, painting the town pink. All your faves, including the Telstra Spiegeltent, live performances, fashion parades, art exhibitions and more are lighting up the town, for one glorious month. Find out what's on here.

Sunday the 7th

Beer, Burgers, Bonnie… and Art | GOMA
Those cool kids at Stone & Wood are rolling their caravan 'Bonnie' onto the grassy grounds of GOMA, just so you can have a chilled day with Dad in the sunshine. Thoughtful, no? As well as the top notch brews, they'll be serving gourmet burgers for $20. And you know Dad is going to froth on that.

When: The Caravan will be outside GOMA Café Bistro all day

Monday the 8th

Sourdough Workshop | Scout Café
The Sourdough Workshop is back, this time at the totes adorbs Scout Café. Join Angela O'Toole of The Art Of Eating and learn the basics of making your very own sourdough bread. The workshop will cover how-to's for making your own starter culture and bread at home, as well as delicious sourdough tasters, and your very own starter kit. Wednesday the 10th

aka Togninis x Big Sound | AKA Togninis
Fancy getting your tresses treated while listening to some sick tunes? All round cool kids, AKA Togninis are playing host to live Big Sound performances from some of Australia's coolest performers during the week of the festival. Kick back with a beer and enjoy a one-off hair and music experience.

When: In salon from September 10th to 12th
