Stuck for things to do in Brisbane this week? Look no more; we've got hot new bar openings, breakfast pop-ups, a wacky take on Oktoberfest, and Camilla on sale! These are the can't-miss-'em Brisbane events you need to diarise, pronto!

Here's what's on this weekend in Brisbane.

Thursday the 16th

In Conversation | IMA
Join exhibiting artist Sarah Browne in conversation with screen studies academic Dr Annita Boyd, alongside a screening of the documentary Nightcleaners—a key work from the '70s, and essential viewing for any documentary buffs. Find all the details here!

When: 6–8pm
Price: Admission is $5 for non-members, free for members.

Woktoberfest | Kwan Brothers
Oktoberfest goes Asian.  To celebrate this German month of revelry the quirky funsters at Kwan Brothers are serving up Asian beers in steins, and German favourites with an Asian twist for Woktoberfest—think sweet and sour pork knuckles, and wok tossed spatzle. Prost!

When: 13th – 19th October

John Mills Himself Open Day | 40 Charlotte Street
If you're partial to a dose of Brisbane history (Bristory?), get yourself to the John Mills Himself Open Day, hear the stories behind this grand old CBD building, and celebrate its history as the original brass signage is restored.

When: 10am to 4pm

Ribs For A Good Cause | Bavarian Bier Café
Like we needed an excuse to eat ribs. For the very first time, ribs have come to Bavarian Bier Café! To celebrate this momentously meaty occasion, the good folk at Bavarian are donating $1 for every portion of ribs sold during Oktoberfest to Treasure Chest, a charity that supports breast cancer reconstructive surgery. Experts in all things pork (have you tried their knuckles?) Bavarian's new barbecue pork ribs are a flavour sensation, and now you've got a great reason to order up big!

When: The Treasure Chest donation with purchase runs for the month of October, but ribs are now a permanent fixture on Bavarian's menu!

Friday the 17th

The Official Opening | Soleil Pool Bar
The only thing we love more than a new bar, is a new pool bar—sexy new Brisbane drinking establishment Soleil Pool Bar is both! This Friday night is the official launch party of this very chic bar, set to be the centre of Brisbane's social solar system. Expect sun-drenched cocktails and out-of-this-world bar food.

When: From 9pm.

Camilla Warehouse Sale | Brisbane Showgrounds
Good news for the yacht club: Cult kaftan label Camilla is on sale! With a whole warehouse full of floaty favourites up to 70% off, and credit cards accepted, getting ready to drop some cash, kids.

When: 17th – 19th October

Good Food and Wine Show | Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre
Fans of good food and drink, get excited, 'cause the Good Food and Wine Show is in town! Meet your favourite chefs, gorge on food trucks in the Grazing Garden (including The Bun Mobile, That BBQ Joint, and Siguenos), join a master class and up your kitchen skills, tour Australia's finest food and wine regions without leaving town, peruse Cheese Alley (heck yes.), or stumble down Brewer's Lane, a celebration of Australia's best boutique beers. Yes, we're excited too.

When: 17th to 19th of October
Price: General Entry for adults is $26, click here to book.

Saturday the 18th

Bledisloe Cup | Suncorp Stadium
While we don't usually need an excuse to drink beer, wear our national colours, and yell a lot, it's good to have a reason. The Wallabies are on home turf and battling it out in short shorts against the All Blacks this Saturday night. Get your tickets here.

When: 7pm

Monday the 20th

Adam's Big Pot Dinner | Scrumptious Reads
Join Adam Liaw, winner of MasterChef Season 2, as he launches his new book, Adam's Big Pot: Easy Meals for Your Family, at James Street's cutest food-friendly book store, Scrumptious Reads. Spots are limited, so book a spot now!

When: 6pm
Price: Tickets are $30 per person, includes food and drinks

Natural Beauty Week | College of Natural Beauty Clinic
Natural Beauty Week kicks off today peeps, so it's time to think about the health and environmental impacts of those chemical-filled cosmetics! Take a pledge to switch to more natural products (think products like Kora Organics by Miranda Kerr and LUMA Cosmetics by Jess Hart) and join the many beauty lovers who love their skin and the earth simultaneiously. Drop in to the College of Natural Beauty Clinic from Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th to see what it's all about and for a free, 30-minute eco-friendly mani!
