This week is one for the foodies. We've got seasonal markets, sausage making workshops, truffle dinners, and pizza and jazz, as well as designer pop ups, showroom parties, and the opera. Here's what's on this weekend in Brisbane.
Thursday the 13th
Everingham & Watson Pop Out | The E&W Showroom, Newstead
Their lease is up, so the Everingham & Watson girls are celebrating a great year in Newstead by throwing a popping OUT party. The showroom will be open until late, and screen prints from local artist Stephen Mok will be on sale, as well as the full E&W range. There's also beers and bites at Green Beacon to follow. The E&W showroom will be open for its final day on Friday the 14th.

Hair of the Blog | Newstead Brewing Co.
Brews, curries, and it's going to a good cause? Where to we sign up? Hair of The Blog is happening tonight at boutique brewery, Newstead Brewing Co. where their beef redang and Second Combing IPA brew are being teamed together to raise money for the World's Greatest Shave, with $7 from the combo' going towards Leukemia research. If you want to get into the spirit of things, there will be a hairdresser on hand to colour hair as well.

Truffle Dinner | Lutece

March Market Lunch | Aria
For the month of March a fabulous two course seasonal lunch can be yours at Aria for $35 (read: amazing value). Showcasing local market produce, the menu includes mahi mahi with pickled eggplant and miso, and pork belly and a pear and pecan salad. This very special offer includes petite fours and coffee.

Kafe Svea | Swedish Club
Fans of Swedish cuisine will be loving the totally traditional fare on offer at the Swedish Club's first Kafe Svea event for this year. The Swedes are very welcoming and more than keen to have some Aussie's faces come along to this delicious night of Swedish cuisine.

Saturday the 15th
Autumn on James Market Day | Outside James Street Markets
This 3-day event is a very tasty seasonal showcase of the best of the Southern Queensland region. James Street will be transformed with Autumnal trees and a country theme, the perfect backdrop for the country-style markets, featuring fresh produce straight from the paddock. These markets will feature produce from the plentiful regions of the Granite Belt, Southern Downs, Darling Downs, Toowoomba and South Burnett to name a few, and will be happening over the weekend along with foodie events and cooking demonstrations (with Masterchef winner, with some of James Street's most loved eateries will be creating seasonal dishes to celebrate the occasion.
When | Markets from 10am – 2pm. Cooking demonstrations are from 11am to 3pm at James Street Cooking School.
Pizza and Jazz Night | The Pasta Company
If you love pizza (everybody) and you love jazz (almost everybody), then you'll be digging the pizza and jazz night happening at The Pasta Company in Kelvin Grove. A mobile pizza van will be baking pizzas out front while International jazz guitarist Libor Smoldas provides the smooth tunes.

Rigoletto Opening Night | QPAC
Journey to Berlusconi-inspired Italy and watch as local tenor Rosario La Spina makes his much anticipated OperaQ debut. This opera runs from the 15th of March to the 29th.

Monday the 17th
Movie Night | Depo
Cult classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail is screening at Depo, making your Monday night bearable. This King Arthur parody will be accompanied by an early dinner and drinks session and, best of all, the ticket price includes popcorn and a cocktail. Date night?

Tuesday the 18th
Butchery and Charcuterie Workshop | Wandering Cooks
One for serious foodies, this workshop, lead by French master Dominique Chapolard (and traslated by American author, cook and teacher, Kate Hill), focuses on traditional methods and has previously only been taught in France and the US. But now the ultimate pork education class is coming to us!
