Held at Doomben Racecourse in Ascot, the Eagle Farm Market has over 100 stalls of vibrant produce and epic eats.
From 7am-12.30pm each Sunday, you’ll find high quality fruit, vegetables, and meats plus gourmet treats to fill your shopping bags with. Think a plethora of dried herbs and spices from the spice stall; gourmet deli produce like olives, cheese, pickles and crackling; and multicultural and organic baking goods. The meat and seafood options are top notch, with decadent Cape Grim beef, whole fish and oysters on offer each week. Bunches of blooms and lush houseplants are the best prices you’ll see anywhere, and the stalls of gifts, crafts, jewellery and fashion are full of lust-worthy treasures.
Sunday brunch is sorted with the likes of crepes, omelettes, burgers, acai bowls and doughnuts, plus local, freshly squeezed juice from MG OJ and single origin java juice from Mr Coffee’s, and any little ones will be happy running around in the gorgeous sunny kids' area at the Mounting Yard.
Even with the bustling vibe, live music, kids activities and some 2,500 shoppers, exploring the winding path of the markets beneath the shady buildings of the racecourse makes for a mellow ambience that’s a relaxing way to spend your Sunday morning.
Free parking is easily available from Nudgee Road or Hampden Street, and entry is just $2 per person. How good?!
