Gauge in South Brisbane has quickly become one of Brisbane's best, and most creative culinary offerings. From the same team that brought us ever-popular Newstead cafe and grocer, Sourced Grocer, Gauge is the younger, late night-loving sibling.
With a ever-changing fresh and seasonal menu, Gauge is doing some pretty amazing things with food. Expect gorgeous locally-sourced produce, and everything made in-house.
The all day brunch and lunch menus are chock full of tried-and-tested faves: pork bolognese and brioche with fried eggs, the iconic bacon sanga on house sourdough, and their famous sourdough waffles with wattleseed custard, malt ice cream and rhubarb.
Dinner really ramps up, with dishes taking on a classy (but never stuffy) edge. Think oysters with wakame dressing, and crispy chicken skins with white anchovies to whet the old appetite. Then it's on to incredible dishes like coffee baked celeriac, salt baked chicken thighs (a TUL favourite), and coal grilled lamb rump. Gauge also offers two, three and seven course tasting menus if you really just can't decide on one dish. What you gonna do?
Gauge has a menu unlike any other in Brisbane―this is not your typical restaurant. It's better.
