Honour Ave Cellars
Always dreamed of having your own personal wine cellar, with walls lined with bottles of rare and small batch wines? Well, if that dream is still far from reality, we might just have the next best thing—a tiny new bar with just four seats (eight once restrictions have ended) has hit leafy Graceville, stocked to the rafters with wines not available anywhere else in the southern hemisphere.
Opening Wednesday 29 September, Honour Ave Cellars comes to us from rising hospitality star chef Chris Siktars, and measures just 28 square metres. The perfect size for Graceville's cosy village atmosphere, the small bar features midnight blue walls and a timber bar running down the centre, with up to 2500 bottles from over 100 labels lining the walls. Many are available by the glass, or in a a 375ml carafe, so you can sample more than one.
While you sit and sip those wines, and maybe even find a new favourite, you can nibble on bar snacks like beef tartare, ceviche, handmade duck liver pate, cheese and charcuterie. And of course, if you can't nab one of those four seats, you can also just get a botte of wine to take home.
