Sunday Discovery Markets at Brisbane MarketPlace
Each Sunday over 5000 bargain hunters flock to the Sunday Discovery Market at Brisbane MarketPlace in Rocklea—and we can totally see why!
Brisbane’s original and biggest Sunday market is a bustling goldmine of treasures: think of almost any item or object and you’ll likely find it amongst the 380 stalls. Some of it is weird and wonderful (although if weird’s your bag, we’re not here to judge) but there’s also mountains of new and second hand everyday essentials, from books, CDs, DVDs, tools and home reno equipment through to home wares, clothes, toys, pet supplies, art and craft supplies, collectibles, jewellery and software. Told you, we weren’t kidding…
If you’re keen to cultivate your green thumb, there’s a huge array of plants, plus gorgeous bunches of freshly cut flowers. Follow up your morning of browsing with a delicious brunch in the undercover food court, accompanied by live entertainment while you congratulate yourself on your bargains. There are over 20 delicious breakfast options, ranging from savoury to sweet (or deep fried if you need something greasy after a big Saturday...). Add in a coffee by local legends Black Sheep Coffee and you have a breakfast worth the visit alone!
There's loads of kid's entertainment plus live music centre stage in the Food Court, and you'll hear the talents of local buskers all throughout the markets too.
Perfect for up-cyclers, collectors and bargain hunters, the Sunday Discovery Markets at Brisbane MarketPlace makes for a super fun Sunday morning out! Entry is just $1 if you’re on foot, with kids under 15 free. If you're driving in, entry plus parking is $4 at both onsite carparks.
Brisbane MarketPlace also hosts the Saturday Fresh Markets on Saturdays. Read all about them here.
