There’s no denying it, COVID-19 seriously stuffed up our travel plans for 2020. And while we know lockdown was a necessary part of protecting our health, it doesn’t mean that we're not a little bit devastated to see our overseas holiday plans cancelled.
But there is (finally) some good travel news with Jetstar announcing today that they're slinging flights that will see you still have change from a $20 note.
As of this morning, there will be10,000 $19 fares up for grabs, covering 35 routes across 15 destinations in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
The one-way routes include Melbourne to Sydney, Sydney to Gold Coast, Brisbane to Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine), Melbourne to Byron Bay, and Adelaide to Cairns.
While the QLD borders are still currently closed, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has flagged July 10 as a potenial re-opening date, so fingers crossed everyone can get involved in this cracking deal.
Even better? There's a further 190,000 seats that will be available at reduced prices including Brisbane to Mackay from $49, Sydney to Hamilton Island from $79 and Brisbane to Darwin from $79.
According to Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, he is hoping the airline’s budget-friendly arm—Jetstar—will stimulate tourism again with these epic sale fares, and that’s something we can absolutely get behind.
Travel is for select periods between 14 July and 31 October so get booking now.
